HOT 97'S DJ FORCED TO COME OUT THE CLOSET!!

Late last week we were all shocked to hear about Mr. Cee’s resignation. Things got a bit messy after an alleged video surfaced of a popular hip hop dj, it went viral after his accuser (a tranny/gay man) apparently recorded their encounter. Dj Mr. Cee was unaware he was being taped the whole time they were conducting the alleged prostitution transaction. The problem with this situation is that Mr. Cee has been arrested several times for breaking the law; buying sex from transexual prostitutes and the last time was May of this year. In May he was approached by his working peers and Hot 97's executives in regards to the situation and past situations. They advised him to get help and explained that breaking the law by buying sex is something that wouldn't be tolerated and might cost him his job. Also, he was questioned about his sexuality in which he denied his involvement with transexuals or gay men. He stated "I am not gay", well after he was exposed to the world virally, not only did he have to admit to his past lies but he was most of all humiliated and that’s what led up to his resignation. Mr. Cee has finally admitted to himself and the world he enjoys getting pleased by transexuals and is in fact struggling with his sexuality.

There were a lot of sites that went crazy all over this story. Here , I took a pretty good clip from TV ONE’s site where the used a few media elements.

 They used Interactive, where you could share the article on facebook, twitter and also able to email the article. They did Print, here they printed an in depth article on what has transpired between the alleged transgendered prostitute and the Dj. Also you get a clear idea as to why he chose to resign from Hot 97. Lastly, the used video/audio so it followed up with the article and you can have a clear idea what had happened, coming from the Dj’s mouth, as well as the recorded encountered with the prostitute that led up to his resignation. Later on you see the picture of his twitter account, where he expresses how he feels and you also see him saying that “maybe he is better off dead”. It was a very messy week for the hip hop community and Hot 97 radio station. 

 As you can see this was a perfect example of multimedia journalism. They were able to use the different media resources to get this story across. I felt this was a really good article and they got the point across to all their viewers.
