Who- Vera Wang was on to the sports trend back in New York. Marc Jacobs also had the right shoes for it with his Teva style Sandals.

What- Athletic looks are the winners at the Milan Spring shows. One unifying theme of the Milan collections was that it was all over the place which was sports. Athletics mesh fabrics showed up in insets on the back of dresses or layered underneath them; and variations of modified tracksuits appeared in surprising numbers. A W magazine editor named Giovanna Battaglia had showed up on a Saturday in a Bogetta Veneta show in a Junya wannabe dress that would have been great for running a marathon.

When- The show took place on a Monday.

Where- Milan

Why- I think the event took place to show people a different side of the fashion world. I also think it took place to show people that its ok to have your own style, be unique  and set your own trends even if their considered popular.

So What- Frida Giannini of Gucci made a statement saying that tracksuits can go from day to evening. The Actress Blake Lively who attended the show borrowed Look number 38 for the party the next night. She said that she thought it was cool because it looked very evening but comfortable.
